Saturday at the Beach

It has been a long time, a very long time since I walk or jog or run. So when I found out that we were going to have a very nice weather last Saturday, I told Michael that maybe we should go to the beach for a walk.

We parked our car along the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) where they have a few metered parking areas at what they called the dog beach. If you owned a dog (or two or three), this would be heaven! Thank god most owners follow the rule which is clean up after your own dog. *wink*

He walked. I walked. But there were a few meter distance between us since I have short legs. :P He would make a u-turn a few times so that he didn't end up walking too far away from me.

It is going to be awhile (if ever!) for me to get back in shape and back to running but I am feeling really positive about it. Of course as long as the weather is not too cold or to hot.

Among the thousand of dogs at the beach, these two really caught my eyes. I asked the owner if I could take their pictures and he kindly agree. I know he is very proud of his dogs. Aren't they beautiful? And huge! I wish I had paid attention when he said their names but I was busy taking pictures.

I hope we are going to have nice weather this weekend so I can make this at least a weekly activity.

Dear,

Wow bestnye...

I hate to jog or walk with better half sebab tulah, I selalu tertinggal, ala kita kan bersupan santun, jalan kepit2 kan.

BTW, the dogd tu look like wolves, are they not? I mg takut dog dari kecik coz I byk kali kena kejar masa kecik2, sampai sekarang I still phobia.

Naz, Cali weather is very unpredictable. You can basically get all 4 seasons within a day but last weekend was really good. Holiday lah ke sini. ;)

Julie, so they're called huskys ye? Memang patut i duduk sebelah diorang ambik gambar. Baru can see our kecomelan! lol.

Lyana, i with my jr in school aje yg panggil i kak farina. u can just call me farina if you want. i dont mind punya. cerimin tu kawan baik i. kan namanya vain. lol.

Cath, ish idakler kitorang beromen di tepian pantai tu. Nanti dpt ticket dari polis! :P

Kerp, red tu cuma for tv show. They were supposed to have the try-outs last sat but as at 10am last sat kitorang tak nampak apa2 pun. Maybe postponed sbb sejuk kot.

Zue, adalah. I kena lose that 20lb tht i gained since i moved here. :(

Mush, kita serupa! setakat main air bolehlah. lol.

Gert, you dah balik ye? Kesian you balik fr hot weather terus ke snow.

Dr.No, hopefully next weekend we'll get another nice weekend. :)

Farina,
nice beach. I like the part when you said... he walked. I walked.... kelakar betul. Tak teringin nak gi surfing ke?

Hi Kak Farina,

I saw a couple of Siberian Husky's today too! Their features are so intense and I absolutely adore them. They're just so...intense...

Some dogs are cute (beagle), some are princessy (poodle) some are b****y looking (chihuahua), some are slobbery (old bulldog), some are loving (golden!) but the husky's are definitely intense...=)

Salt N Turmeric said...

Yatie, i kan cant swim so no surfing for me. hehe.

Daphne, where got intense one? I think they're the cutest and most good looking dogs! ;)

Know something Farina? I just love them dogs. If you read my LTdL post where I befriended Anthony T the paraplegic / Star columnist/ MBPJ Exco / Dog Trainer extraordinaire, he shared with me stories about training dogs for the disabled. My God, they are truly men's best friend! Kalau ada rezeki, if I can move to bigger house (minimum semi-D or corner lot with land), I hope to own a Golden Retriever. I grew up with one and it's a shame, to me at least, for one to not have experienced the joy of owning dogs. My late grandpa had three. He was way ahead of his time though...

MS, i pun kalau boleh nak jugak but after thinking of all the works to bela dogs, terus malas. hehe. lagipun susah sikit nak berjalan2 or holiday kalau ada dog. So expensive. Oh can you give me your email add?
